We work with a select group of clients, high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and sovereign project sponsors, who require more than an introduction. They need an advisor who will carry the full weight of a transaction, from inception through to execution.

Why SilverValley

What sets us apart.

Senior-Led, Always
Every mandate is led by a named senior advisor from the first call through to close. You are never passed to a junior team, and the person advising you is the person doing the work.
Africa-Fluent
We understand the structural, regulatory, and relationship dynamics of African capital markets in a way very few London-based advisors do.
Dedicated Senior Advisory
A named senior relationship director is assigned to every mandate. You work with the person who does the work, not a team of juniors.
Fee-Aligned Execution
Our economics are structured around successful outcomes, not retainer fees or introductory commissions. We earn when you close.

We take on a select number of mandates each year. If you have a transaction in mind, we'd like to hear from you.

01, Infrastructure & Project Finance

Project Finance
& Infrastructure

Advisory on large-scale infrastructure, energy, and sovereign-sponsored capital transactions, structured from the ground up for bankability and international capital market readiness.

Overview

Where sovereign ambition meets capital discipline.

Infrastructure projects, whether government-sponsored or privately promoted, require a particular kind of advisory capability. They are long-cycle, highly structured, politically sensitive, and technically complex. The gap between a promising project and a fundable one is wider than most sponsors anticipate.

At SilverValley, our project finance advisory goes far beyond a financing introduction. We work with sponsors from the earliest stages, assessing project readiness, advising on structure, preparing institutional-grade documentation, and then engaging selectively with the capital providers best positioned for the mandate.

Our work spans Oil & Gas, Agriculture, and Mining across Africa. We understand what development finance institutions, commercial banks, and infrastructure equity funds need to see, and we help sponsors get there.

Our Capabilities

What we bring to the table.

Project Readiness Advisory
We assess a project's commercial, technical, legal, and financial readiness before any capital process begins, giving sponsors an honest picture of where they stand and what needs to be done.
Financial Modelling & Bankability
We stress-test, structure, and present financial models to the standard required by DFIs and senior lenders, including debt service coverage, return analysis, and sensitivity analysis.
Capital Structure Design
We advise on the optimal blend of senior debt, mezzanine, equity, and grant funding for each transaction, drawing on our knowledge of DFI mandate requirements, commercial bank appetites, and private capital preferences.
Institutional Data Room
We build and manage the transaction data room to international institutional standards, the level required to satisfy the due diligence requirements of major lenders and development finance institutions.
Capital Sourcing & Lender Engagement
We identify and approach the most appropriate capital providers for each mandate, DFIs, commercial banks, export credit agencies, and infrastructure equity funds, managing the process on behalf of the sponsor.
Negotiation & Close
We lead or support all commercial negotiations through to financial close, coordinating legal counsel, technical advisers, and capital providers to bring the transaction home.

Have a project in development?

Our project finance team works with a small number of sponsors at any one time. Early engagement is always preferable.

Strategic
Advisory

Structured thinking and transactional discipline for organisations navigating material capital decisions. Retained where the stakes are significant and independent counsel matters.

Overview

Acquisition & Leveraged Finance.

We advise corporate acquirers, institutional sponsors, and government-linked entities on the structuring and execution of acquisition finance across Africa. Our work spans leveraged buyouts, acquisition debt structuring, and the coordination of senior, mezzanine, and equity tranches to optimise transaction terms and preserve flexibility post-close.

Engagements are led by practitioners with direct experience in private credit and structured finance. Clients receive advisory that reflects how capital actually moves in African markets, not how it is modelled in isolation.

Minimum transaction size: USD 10 million. All mandates are subject to prior review and acceptance.

Discuss a Mandate
Who This Is For

Built for principals with real conviction.

Corporations, institutional investors, private equity sponsors, and government-linked entities seeking to acquire operating businesses or assets across Africa.

Also relevant for family offices and UHNIs with significant acquisition mandates, where transaction scale and complexity require dedicated advisory support rather than a generalist approach.

Planning a transaction?

Early-stage conversations are always welcome. The best advisory relationships begin before the formal process does.

03, Structured & Secured Finance

Asset-Based &
Structured Lending

Non-dilutive financing secured against receivables, inventory, commodities, and hard assets, structured to give sponsors access to capital without giving up equity.

Overview

Capital secured against what you already have.

Asset-based lending and structured finance give businesses access to capital they already have, locked inside receivables, inventory, contracts, or hard assets. When structured well, it is often one of the most cost-effective and non-dilutive forms of corporate financing available.

We advise sponsors and businesses on the structuring, documentation, and sourcing of asset-based credit facilities, working across receivables finance, inventory finance, trade finance, commodity finance, and real estate-backed capital structures.

Our particular strength is in cross-border and Africa-facing structures, where local asset quality must be communicated clearly to international capital providers, and where the security package must be designed with both local legal frameworks and lender requirements in mind.

Discuss a Mandate
Our Capabilities

Structuring capital around your assets.

Asset Quality Assessment
We analyse the quality, liquidity, and lender-readiness of a sponsor's asset base, identifying the best collateral structures and credit enhancement mechanisms for the mandate.
Security Package Design
We design security packages that satisfy lender requirements while protecting the sponsor's operational flexibility, balancing collateral coverage, covenant structure, and cross-border legal requirements.
Lender Identification
We engage the most appropriate lenders for each asset class, specialist ABL lenders, commercial banks, trade finance providers, and private credit funds, with a clear understanding of each provider's appetite and requirements.
Transaction Documentation
We prepare the information memorandum, borrower profile, and supporting documentation required to present the facility to lenders in a clear and compelling format.
Cross-Border Structuring
For Africa-facing transactions, we advise on the additional structuring steps required to make local assets bankable to international lenders, including offshore security structures, FX considerations, and offtake agreements.
Facility Negotiation
We lead or support commercial negotiations on facility terms, pricing, covenants, and security, ensuring the final structure reflects the sponsor's operational needs, not just the lender's preferred terms.

Looking for non-dilutive capital?

Tell us about your asset base. A short conversation is often all it takes to identify the right structure.

04, Fund & Sponsor Advisory

Private Equity
Capital Advisory

Strategic capital advisory to private equity sponsors, growth investors, and family offices, across co-investment, fund strategy, portfolio situations, and exit planning.

Overview

Advisory that understands the GP's perspective.

Private equity sponsors operate in a world of competing pressures, deployment timelines, portfolio performance, investor expectations, and exit windows. The most valuable advisory relationship in this environment is one that understands your structure, your investors, and your commercial logic before making a single recommendation.

SilverValley's private equity advisory practice works with a select group of sponsors and family offices on transactions where discretion, speed, and execution quality matter most. We advise on co-investment structures, GP-led secondaries, portfolio company capital needs, and strategic exits.

Our Africa and UK market coverage means we can advise on cross-border portfolio situations and capital raises that require knowledge of both markets simultaneously.

Discuss a Mandate
Our Capabilities

Supporting the full investment lifecycle.

Co-Investment Advisory
We advise GPs and family offices on co-investment structures, identifying the right co-investors, managing the relationship, and structuring the participation terms to align all parties' interests.
GP-Led Secondaries
We support sponsors navigating GP-led secondary processes, advising on pricing, process management, investor communication, and the selection of continuation fund structures.
Portfolio Capital Solutions
When portfolio companies need additional capital, for growth, acquisitions, or working capital, we advise on the most appropriate structure and source, working closely with the sponsor team.
Exit Strategy Advisory
We advise PE sponsors on exit preparation, process design, and buyer identification, helping to maximise value and minimise execution risk in an environment where exit timing and preparation are everything.
Family Office Mandates
We work with multi-generational family offices on direct investment mandates, providing the institutional-grade deal sourcing, structuring, and execution support that most family offices don't maintain in-house.
Africa-Focused PE Advisory
For funds deploying into African markets, we provide local market insight, regulatory navigation, and capital structuring expertise that reduces execution risk and improves return prospects.

Structured Financial
Instruments

Mandate-only advisory on bank guarantees, standby letters of credit, and proof of funds facilities for organisations and private principals across Africa.

Overview

A discreet practice, conducted under mandate.

SilverValley Advisory works with organisations and private clients who require access to structured financial instruments as part of a broader capital or compliance strategy. This is a discreet practice, conducted under mandate, and structured around the specific requirements of each engagement.

All engagements are accepted on a mandate basis and subject to prior qualification. Minimum transaction size: USD 10 million.

Discuss a Mandate
Who We Work With

Two distinct client profiles.

Corporate & Institutional Clients

Organisations operating across Africa frequently require structured instruments to satisfy regulatory conditions, fulfil tender obligations, or provide financial assurance to counterparties. We advise on the procurement, structuring, and deployment of bank guarantees, standby letters of credit, and proof of funds facilities, with particular attention to instrument credibility and issuing institution standing.

We do not operate on a brokerage basis. Our role is to advise on structure, source, and execution from a position of independence, coordinating with issuing banks, legal counsel, and counterparties across jurisdictions as required.

UHNIs, HNIs & Private Principals
For ultra-high-net-worth and high-net-worth individuals, the requirement for structured instruments often arises in the context of asset acquisition, project participation, or the establishment of financial standing with institutional counterparties. We work with private clients on a confidential, mandate-only basis, advising on the appropriate instrument type, issuing structure, and deployment strategy for their specific situation.

Considering a structured instrument requirement?

All conversations are confidential and conducted under mandate. We will only proceed where the engagement is the right fit.

06, Impact & Sustainable Finance

ESG & Sustainable
Finance

Capital structuring and advisory for sponsors with environmental, social, or governance mandates, green bonds, sustainability-linked facilities, and impact-aligned transactions.

Overview

Where commercial returns meet measurable impact.

The growth of ESG and sustainable finance has created genuine opportunities for well-structured sponsors, particularly in Africa, where the infrastructure deficit, the energy transition, and the scale of development need create a natural alignment between impact and investment return.

SilverValley advises sponsors on accessing ESG-aligned capital: green bond issuance, sustainability-linked credit facilities, climate finance, and impact-linked equity structures. We help sponsors understand the framework requirements, design the appropriate instrument, and present the transaction to the growing universe of ESG-mandated capital providers.

We approach sustainable finance with the same rigour we bring to any other transaction, because impact investors are increasingly sophisticated, and a poorly structured ESG instrument is no easier to place than a poorly structured conventional one.

Discuss a Mandate
Our Capabilities

Structuring capital that works, and accounts.

ESG Framework Design
We help sponsors design and document the ESG frameworks required to issue green or sustainability-linked instruments, meeting ICMA Green Bond Principles, LMA standards, and DFI-specific requirements.
Green Bond Structuring
We advise on the use of proceeds, eligible project categories, reporting obligations, and pre-issuance verification requirements for green bond transactions, from inaugural issuances to tap programmes.
Sustainability-Linked Facilities
We structure sustainability-linked loans and bonds with appropriate KPIs, pricing step-up mechanisms, and reporting frameworks that satisfy both the sponsor's commercial requirements and the lender's ESG criteria.
Climate Finance Advisory
For climate-focused projects in Africa and emerging markets, we identify and engage blended finance providers, climate funds, and DFI windows specifically designed for the energy transition and climate adaptation.
Impact Investor Engagement
We maintain relationships with the leading impact investors, green bond funds, and ESG-mandated institutional capital providers, and know which mandates align with each provider's specific portfolio requirements.
Carbon & Nature Finance
We advise sponsors on the structuring and monetisation of carbon credits, biodiversity credits, and nature-based solutions, an increasingly important source of additional return for qualifying projects.

Structuring an impact transaction?

We'd welcome the conversation. ESG finance done well requires as much care in structuring as any conventional mandate.

About the Firm

SilverValley
Advisory.

Headquartered in London, with active financing relationships across Africa. SilverValley operates as a discreet, concierge advisory firm serving UHNIs, HNIs, multinationals, and global enterprises with financing requirements above USD 10 million and complementary wealth-stewardship needs.

Our Story

Built to serve the clients others can't.

SilverValley Advisory was built on a simple conviction: that the most consequential capital transactions in Africa are not well served by the existing advisory landscape.

Large investment banks focus on the largest global mandates. Smaller advisory firms often lack the capital market relationships, structuring capability, or cross-border experience to handle complex transactions. And introduction-based brokers, who connect a borrower with a lender and then step aside, add little lasting value to either party.

We built SilverValley to occupy the space between those categories: a boutique with genuine capital market depth, personal client relationships, and the willingness to carry the full weight of a transaction from start to finish.

With deep roots in African capital markets and a London base, we bring a combination of international market access and local fluency that very few advisors in our space can offer.

What Guides Us

How we think about this work.

01
Relationship Before Mandate
We take time to understand a client and their situation before accepting any mandate. The quality of our advice depends entirely on the depth of that understanding.
02
Execution Over Introduction
We don't introduce. We execute. That distinction defines everything about how we work, who we engage, how we prepare, and how we measure success.
03
Selective by Design
We work with a small number of clients at any one time. That is not a limitation, it is how we maintain the standard of advisory that our clients deserve.
Our Values

The things we won't negotiate on.

Discretion
We treat every client's affairs as we would our own, with complete confidentiality, professional care, and respect for the sensitivity of what they've shared with us.
Rigour
We do not cut corners in our analysis, our preparation, or our process. The quality of our work reflects directly on our clients, and on us.
Alignment
Our commercial model is built around successful outcomes. We structure our fee arrangements to align our interests with those of our clients, not with activity or introductions.
Independence
We do not have preferred capital providers, undisclosed referral arrangements, or proprietary funds to sell into. Our advice is independent, and it stays that way.
